Position Title: Medical Assistant for Pain Management

Job Summary: We are seeking a Bilingual Spanish speaking skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team specializing in pain management. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care to patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, exceptional communication skills, and a dedication to providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers in assessing patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
  • Perform surgery scheduling, bring back patients, prior auths for Medications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems. ( EClinicalWorks)
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and follow up with patients as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and workflow.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in pain management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience working in a medical office or clinic setting, preferably in pain management or a related field.
  • Bilingual
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and basic computer skills.
  • Experience with EClinicalWorks
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
