Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient evaluations.
- Administer medications and manage pain effectively, including acute pain management strategies.
- Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, and tube feeding as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a teaching hospital setting to enhance patient care.
- Educate patients and families on health management, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records using eClinicalWorks software.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification with a valid state license.
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and pain management.
- Proficiency in performing clinical procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, and tube feeding.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
