Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology Clinic - we operate in two locations - Sugarland/Sugarcreek and Lacenterra Cinco Ranch - candidate expect to travel between two locations - 2 days in one locations and 3 days in another. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in outpatient medical settings, performing various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care. Ours is a large group with more than 100 MAs in different locations in Houston. Clinic is usually busy and will be seeing 20 patients most days. Compensation would be definitely competitive.

Responsibilities:

- Assist healthcare providers with patient rooming
- Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs
- Perform basic tests like EKG
- Follow up on physician orders and schedule them with help
- Provide medical administrative support such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Ensure compliance with medical laws and regulations

Skills:

- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Experience in a hospital, urgent care, or outpatient setting
- Ability to perform EKG. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

2. Willingness to work hard and learn (we see 20 patients/day and order multiple tests including EKG, Echo, stress test and angiogram - all need to be coordinated in a seamless fashion)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
