About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Department Manager to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing teams, driving growth, and improving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HVAC Department, ensuring effective installation, construction, and service operations
- Collaborate with Comfort Advisors to enhance sales/operations relationships and build long-term connections with key customers
- Develop and track departmental KPIs to support overall team growth, safety, quality, and profitability
- Manage team budget and overhead accounts
- Work closely with the warehouse team to optimize flow, determine minimum quantity levels, and improve material costs
- Frequent jobsite visits with Installations Foreman to ensure customer satisfaction, workmanship, and quality assurance
- Follow-up on warranty work and maintain contact with owners to ensure customer satisfaction
- Departmental dispatch schedule and customer invoicing
- Communicate clear performance expectations and conduct performance reviews for direct reports
- Approve departmental time sheets and perform other necessary management tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong leadership skills, ability to drive cultural change, mentor, coach, and succession plan
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to relate with diverse personality types
- Able to work independently without supervision, under constraints, and make the most out of allotted resources
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple issues
- Attention to detail, completing work to deadlines, and participating in customer relation issues
- Understanding of maximizing productivity of construction and technical workforce, handling sensitive information, and documents
