What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finish Goods Warehouse Worker position at Kauai Coffee Company?
Position Summary:
Responsible for the overall warehouse operations, specifically inventory control, warehouse management systems, order picking, verifying, staging, shipping, safety and sanitation. Supports direct sales pick up and deliveries as required. Ensures that all warehouse goals are met and supports the departmental objectives and the company strategies. Implements and promotes continuous improvement. Management of rework throughout the facility, while working with Production, Finance and Quality Assurance.
Primary Functions:
Responsible for the integrity of the physical inventories, record keeping, documentation and ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation and reporting of all warehouse transactions
- Responsible for efficient and effective operations of shipping and receiving, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed properly
- Collaborate cross departmentally across Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to communicate and meet customer requests in a timely fashion
- Execute against standards of the performance goals
- Support the required service strategies
- Maintain sanitation standards and recordkeeping
- Research stock levels reflected by perpetual inventory systems as compared to actual inventory and report any significant discrepancies to Roast Plant Manager and Inventory Analyst
- Work with Roast Plant Manager and Quality Assurance Technician to minimize rework being generated
- Work with Roast Plant Manager, Roast Plant Supervisor and Quality Assurance Technician to use rework items generated from packaging lines
- Prepare required documentation for outbound shipments of finished products for delivery and for “will call” customers
- Complies with all Federal, State, Local and Company safety, health and environmental regulations
- Complies with all Company Rules and Company Policies
- Note: Overtime - start times and end times vary depending on workload. Occasional overtime on Saturday’s may be needed.

- Exceptional problem solving skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and meet priorities
- Self starter, works well and must be willing to work independently
- Thorough understanding of inventory control and warehouse management systems and procedures (inventory flow from order entry to final shipment)
- PC skills required but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 40lbs. unassisted
- Forklift training/certification will be provided
