Job Summary
This position reports to the Plant Manager and oversees the production in a manufacturing environment. This role involves managing production schedules, ensuring product quality, optimizing workflows, and leading production teams. Continuously and sustainably improve the global results of the APU through operations management strategies and tactics based on the KEMOS, through leadership aligned to the KEPS that integrates the different operational areas to achieve the SQCDP objectives (Main KPI's).
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales and efficiency objectives.
- Adjust production plans to address any delays or changes in demand.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages team collaboration, continuous improvement, and skill development.
- Ensure the maximum product quality based on established procedures.
- Coordination and effective management of productive resources.
- Management, implementation and administration of systems required by the company.
- Determine and distribute the number of personnel necessary to comply with the production plan and commitments to customers.
- Participate in the definition and optimization of the daily production plan with Supervisors and Plant Manager
- Lead specific continuous improvement projects according to the needs of the plant.
- Take maximum care of the plant equipment and facilities by applying the defined maintenance plan.
- Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors, technicians, and production workers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and productivity improvements.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and other best practices to optimize workflows.
- Work with the supply chain team to forecast material needs and ensure timely procurement.
- Provide regular production status updates to senior management, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress against production targets.
Key Qualifications
- Experience with PNL, Cost Structure, & Margin Analysis
- Understanding of Production Scheduling
- Experience: 3 years in a similar position as a Production Manager
- Wiring Harness experience (Preferred)
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and team management.
Education and Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- Industrial Engineering (Preferred), Mechanical or Related (Bachelor's degree Preferred)
