Industrial Painter
Summary: The employee is responsible for painting of equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following:

- Washes, scrapes, and sands surfaces prior to painting.
- Cleans equipment, paint mixing area, and work area.
- Applies paints and surface preparatory materials as appropriate, and according to SDS ensuring
- Operates spray equipment and other small power equipment.
- Works well with other team members to complete projects assigned in the allotted time.
- Inspects work for completeness and quality.
- Offers suggestions for improving the operation of the department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
- Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal.
- Skill in the preparation and application of paints and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the duties satisfactorily. The

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or three to five years related experience and/or
training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical demands:
Must be able to pass respirator fit test. The physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, feel objects,
tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee
is frequently required to talk or hear.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00 depending on experience
