Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team - This is a part-time position requiring 3 working days per week, totaling 40 hours. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The position involves driving long distances, navigating to specific addresses, and handling packages with care. You will be expected to work efficiently, maintain a clean driving record, and ensure all deliveries are completed on time.
The ideal candidate will have availability to work on weekends and possess a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean driving record, abide by transportation laws, and follow all safety guidelines during warehouse and driving duties.
Quality Control: Inspect items for damage, defects, or discrepancies before storage or shipping, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, answering any customer questions and ensuring a positive experience.
Loading/Unloading: Loading and unloading items that weigh 24-60 pounds into and out of Sprinter Vans and ensure products are handled with care.
Loading and Transporting: Safely load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses using company vehicles, including Sprinter Vans and Box Trucks.
Route Management: Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to traffic and transportation laws.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate equipment such as vans, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other machinery as needed for deliveries and warehouse tasks.
Order Picking and Packing: Select and pack items according to customer orders with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Working Conditions: Work is typically divided between the warehouse and on the road for deliveries, with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise. This role may require occasional weekend work.
