Our client is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to oversee and enhance their credit and collections operations. This role is responsible for leading a team of collections professionals, optimizing recovery processes, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and support the collections team, fostering a high-performance and customer-focused culture.
- Collections Strategy: Develop and implement collection policies, procedures, and best practices to improve cash flow and reduce delinquencies.
- Risk Assessment & Management: Monitor delinquency trends, assess credit risks, and collaborate with internal teams to mitigate potential losses.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all collection activities comply with federal and state laws, including FDCPA, FCRA, and other applicable regulations.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze collections data, generate reports, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with lending, finance, and branch operations teams to support overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: 5 years of experience in collections, credit management, or related financial operations.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience at a financial institution required
Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of collections best practices, credit risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements to enhance collections performance.
- Proficiency in collections software and financial reporting tools.
