Our client is seeking a Corrosion Technician for a contract to hire scenario. The Corrosion Technician’s primary responsibility is the installation, testing, and evaluation of cathodic protection systems. This includes evaluation of corrosion on various structures and working with Clients to assess and achieve objectives related to customer projects, needs and specifications.

Our client is seeking a Corrosion Technician for a contract to hire scenario. The Corrosion Technician’s primary responsibility is the installation, testing, and evaluation of cathodic protection systems. This includes evaluation of corrosion on various structures and working with Clients to assess and achieve objectives related to customer projects, needs and specifications.
Duties
- Install cathodic protection systems, test stations, reference electrodes, junction boxes, cables, rectifiers, and RMUs’.
- Attach cables to structure via thermite welding.
- Perform cathodic protection potential surveys.
- Install, configure, and remove rectifier interrupters.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair cathodic protection rectifiers.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair RMUs’.
- Perform close interval, DCVG, and ACVG surveys.
- Operate electronic pipe locators, including PCM.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, resolving installation issues and conflicts.
- Identify and recommend corrective actions based on survey results.
- Manage client expectations within scope.
- Adhere to client and PSI safety requirements.
- Treat all company information and customer information in a confidential manner.
- Communicate effectively and proactively.
- Take an active role in growing skills, abilities, and knowledge to further understand all aspects of the position.
- Perform well in both individual and team environments.
- Take on additional responsibilities and assignments willingly.

- 3 years of Corrosion Technician experience.
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- NACE Certified CP 1 certification or higher.
- Clean driving record.
- Able to work in extreme temperatures.
- Lift and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with common computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- High level of organizational skill.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
