Game Moderator

Kavaliro is currently seeking a Game Moderator for our growing game studio client. Applicants should have a background working on games developed in Unreal Engine as well as comfortable with QA tools and live game administrator duties with advanced knowledge of open-source intelligence techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate efforts between customer support, community, and development teams to identify, verify, and address player-reported bugs, exploits, and issues.
• Represent the game professionally and respectfully when engaging with players.
• Enforce penalties for code-of-conduct violations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Use tools and metrics to identify and remove cheaters or hackers from the game.
• Collaborate with the Community Team on severe punishments or updates to the code of conduct.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to resolve in-game issues and updates, ensuring high player satisfaction.
• Analyze player feedback and data to identify trends and propose feature updates, player compensation, or resolutions to Production.
• Monitor and investigate emerging threats targeting the game or its players.
• Support daily operations of the game security and development teams.
• Assist in responding to urgent security incidents.
• Communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Automate processes to improve operational efficiency where possible.
• Create detailed reports related to malicious code analysis.

Requirements:

• 1 years of paid experience in game development as a QA Analyst or Game Moderator.
• Proficiency with QA tools and experience using live game admin commands responsibly and effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating concise, well-researched reports and presentations tailored to different audiences.
• Familiarity with advanced OSINT (open-source intelligence) tools and techniques, with adaptability to new threats.

Bonus Skills:

• Credited experience on a shipped title as QA Analyst, Game Moderator, Community Support, or Customer Service.
• Fluency in Chinese.
• Experience setting up virtual machines and research accounts with a focus on operational security.
• Hands-on experience with programming or scripting languages.
