- Managing and processing payroll for the organization.
- Overseeing the use of computerized payroll systems to track hours, deductions, and taxes.
- E nsuring accurate processing of payroll tax filings and compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
- Administering tax-sheltered annuities, Section 125 benefits, and other payroll-related benefits.
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of payroll taxes, retirement contributions, and other withholdings.
- Providing support and guidance on payroll-related matters to staff and management.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience.
- Experience in non-profit payroll, preferably in higher education.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, tax codes, and reporting requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to payroll taxes, annuities, and insurance practices.
