Kavaliro’s client is seeking a Staff Accountant in Orlando, FL, to join their team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in non-profit and trust accounting. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in financial reporting, reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle non-profit and trust accounting functions, including fund tracking and reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow management.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
- Support audit preparation and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize accounting procedures and financial controls.
- 2 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
- Experience in non-profit and/or trust accounting is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other functions).
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with accounting software is a plus.
