What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Management Associate / Analyst position at Kavar Capital Partners, LLC?
The Portfolio Management Associate / Analyst is primarily responsible for trading and assisting with the investment portfolio management activities for the firm. The role will support the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee in implementing Kavar’s investment strategy across client accounts. The role will also contribute to the firm's research process, assisting with global asset allocation and security selection.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement the core components of Kavar Capital's investment philosophy.
- Become proficient in Kavar Capital’s portfolio management and trading systems.
- Execute and reconcile all daily trading activity.
- Implement portfolio management and rebalancing processes within client portfolios.
- Monitor portfolio holdings daily. Identifying equity, fixed income, and option trading opportunities based on market conditions.
- Conduct investment and market-related research as requested.
Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-4 years of experience in wealth management, preferably with an RIA.
- Series 65 (or must attain within 90 days).
- Interest in obtaining or progress towards professional designations, such as CFA, CFP, etc.
- Strong technology aptitude, including proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Experience with custodial trading platforms and/or Tamarac.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
- Desire and ability to work successfully in a small company environment.
