What are the responsibilities and job description for the VICTIM SERVICE INTERN COORDINATOR position at Kaw Nation?
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: KNFTHC DIRECTOR
CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: CHAIRPERSON/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
STATUS: Regular, Full-Time
LOCATION: Newkirk, Oklahoma
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in social sciences or related field preferred. A combination of education and work experience is acceptable if work experience includes at least two years of related field work. Implement the Kaw Nation Developing Future Victim Advocates Program. The candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Hire and manage interns. This includes creating intern criteria, hiring interns, project plans, development of educational plans for interns, collection of data analysis, and managing intern’s working hours and stipend pay.
- Responsible for implementing all aspects of the proposed project.
- Must assist with the development of program policy and procedures.
- Develop and conduct in-service training and public presentations.
- Work closely with the KNFTHC Director in case management of clients.
- Provide advocacy and supportive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.
- Attend training and workshops
- Complete monthly and quarterly reports.
- Complete any other duties assigned by the immediate or controlling supervisor.

- Four (4) hours of Sick Leave begins accruing with the first paycheck and each full check during employment. This amount remains the same throughout employment.
