What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investments Analyst position at Kawa Capital Management?
We seek a highly motivated Investment Analyst to support the team in the research, evaluation, and execution of trading opportunities for our liquid strategy, with a specific focus on debt securities. This investment analyst will be involved in all phases of the research process as well as administrative tasks.
Responsibilities will include:
· Gathering intelligence and developing quantitative and qualitative analysis to uncover key insights about target investments in public credit markets.
· Preparing financial models, including financial statements, cash flow analysis, capital structure applicable to investment opportunities.
· Reviewing, analyzing, modeling, and generating valuation data.
· Evaluating and summarizing portfolio companies, industry, sponsor, and valuation metrics on investment opportunities.
· Contributing to alternative data gathering and processing. Some assignment travel is to be expected.
· Examining and assessing economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements, and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies.
· Liaising with fellow team members and performing in-depth due diligence to arrive at a final recommendation on trading opportunities.
· Screening for investment opportunities across credit markets, contributing to due diligence, and monitoring existing investments.
· Monitoring financial press closely and keeping a track of market trends, opportunities, risks, and new investment products.
· Developing solutions to analytical problems independently.
· Supporting senior team members by providing needed information and performing administrative tasks.

Skills and Experience:
· Proficiency in advanced Excel.

· Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
