Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws. This role is essential to keeping our business operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
- Prepare and review financial reports such as profit/loss statements and balance sheets.
- Prepare & Process payroll and manage employee expense reimbursements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting financial performance.
- Collaborate with external accountants during annual audits
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Generate financial reports for management to review.
- Process Accounts Payable and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records
- Utilize QuickBooks or other accounting software to manage financial transactions.
- Stay updated on technical accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in retail or e-commerce is a plus.
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations
- Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and statements
