Senior Group Manager, Servicing Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:
    • Manage the daily operations of the loan servicing department, ensuring efficient processing and servicing of motorcycle loans.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of loan servicing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all loan servicing activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of service and compliance.
  • Customer Service Management:
    • Oversee customer service operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of borrower inquiries and issues.
    • Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of loan servicing operations.
    • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the loan servicing operations.
  • Collections and Recovery:
    • Oversee the collections process to minimize delinquencies and maximize recoveries.
    • Develop and implement strategies for effective repossession and remarketing of motorcycles.
  • Technology and Systems Management:
    • Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to improve loan servicing processes.
    • Ensure the loan servicing systems are functioning optimally and address any technical issues promptly.
  • Financial Management:
    • Assist in managing the loan servicing budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
    • Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting, sales, and compliance, to ensure seamless loan servicing operations.
    • Represent the loan servicing department in meetings with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • System Setup and Management: Design, implement, and manage servicing systems to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Process Development: Develop and optimize processes to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of servicing professionals.
  • Procedure Implementation: Establish and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Control and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Audit Management: Oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Repossessions and Remarketing: Manage repossession processes and remarketing strategies to maximize asset recovery.
  • Collections Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce delinquencies
  • Utilize Loan Management Systems (LOS) to process and manage funding transaction
  • Interact with Senior Management to make recommendations on credit strategies
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in servicing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective processes and procedures.
  • Experience with audit management and risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in statistical modeling, data analysis, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with financial services and loan origination processes is preferred.

Profile Differentiators:

  • Experience in founding, co-founding or working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience in Powersports Finance Industry (motorcycle, ATVs UTVs, PWCs)
  • Experience in a FinTech startup
  • Prior experience in managing a team of Data Scientists and Risk Analysts
  • Master’s degree or Advanced Professional degree

Salary Range:

$140,000 - $160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
