Job Description
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in various settings. This role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring safety standards are met, and ensuring that all electrical systems operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Electrical Installation and Maintenance :
o Install electrical wiring, lighting, and control systems in new or existing buildings, machinery, and equipment.
o Maintain and repair electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring.
o Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure electrical systems and equipment are operating efficiently.
2. Troubleshooting and Repair :
o Diagnose electrical problems by inspecting systems and using testing equipment.
o Identify and correct faults in electrical circuits, wiring, or electrical components.
o Replace faulty components or wires to restore equipment or systems to full functionality.
3. Safety Compliance :
o Ensure that all electrical systems are compliant with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
o Follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear to prevent electrical hazards.
o Conduct regular safety checks on electrical equipment to prevent accidents or malfunctions.
4. System Upgrades and Modifications :
o Assist in upgrading electrical systems to improve energy efficiency or meet new building codes.
o Modify existing electrical systems to meet specific needs of machinery or facilities.
o Recommend improvements or modifications to enhance system performance or safety.
5. Collaboration with Other Teams :

Requirements
Key Skills and Qualifications :
- Educational Requirements :
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or formal training program is required.
- Certification or licensing as an electrician (depending on local regulations) is essential.
- Experience :
- At least 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.
