Technical Illustrator

The Technical Illustrator creates and maintains clear, concise, and accurate building and construction product documentation for technical and non-technical users. Documentation covers all aspects of internal and customer-facing details including instructions for design, estimation, fabrication, and installation.
Responsibilities
Job Duties and Responsibilities : Create technical documents for print or web publication using various illustration and publishing software.Communicate directly with designers, drafters and other members of the team in order to develop technical documents.Comprehend information intended for a technical audience; then rewrite, and organize, into documents suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.Work in a team environment with the other Technical Authors on different documents.Adhere to company standards and guidelines for technical publications.Multi-task and manage several documentation projects at a time.Work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical.Create and organize documents.Other job duties as assignedQualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Associate's degree form an accredited institution.Minimum of 2 years of experience in the development and production of technical manuals / electronic technical manuals.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator to create illustrations, labels and improve artwork.Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, and Acrobat.Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Excellent communication in spoken and written EnglishEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience using a Component Content Management System (CCMS) such as Paligo, Schema, Madcap Flare, or FrameMaker to author and publish documents is a plus.Experience with Vault, AutoCAD or Inventor is a plus.
