Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences in jewelry selection.
- Provide product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of various jewelry items.
- Utilize upselling techniques to encourage customers to consider additional products that complement their selections.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing display of merchandise, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and managing stock levels effectively.
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance on customer service best practices and store operations.
- Handle transactions accurately using the POS system while ensuring proper phone etiquette during customer interactions.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in jewelry or luxury goods sales.
- Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory counts.
- Experience with supervising or training staff is a plus.
- Familiarity with product demos and upselling techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations can be beneficial for understanding retail dynamics but is not required.
