Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including urgent care and trauma centers. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures while ensuring a high standard of care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care
- Assist in the management of patient care plans and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Provide basic life support when necessary and respond to emergencies
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws as needed
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with staff and patients
- Educate patients on health management and medication administration
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols in a Level I Trauma Center environment
Experience
- Previous experience in an urgent care or trauma center setting is preferred
- Proficiency in medical records management and documentation practices
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols
- Experience administering injections and performing venipuncture is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to nursing practices
