Responsibilities for Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on companies, industries, markets, and competitors, with a focus on corporate law practice areas such as M&A, private equity, finance, and capital markets, to support business development and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver high-impact intelligence reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for attorneys and business development teams.
- Monitor and assess key developments affecting the legal industry, major clients, and emerging market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Provide research assistance for practice groups, client initiatives, and competitive positioning efforts across the firm.
- Track and report key metrics on research projects to measure impact and drive continuous improvement in intelligence services.
- Promote the Competitive Intelligence (CI) Group’s value within the firm through training, collaboration, and proactive engagement with stakeholders.
- Lead and contribute to special projects that enhance the firm’s market intelligence capabilities and business growth strategies.
Requirements for Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst:
- BA required (MBA or JD preferred) with 8 years of experience in competitive intelligence, business research, or law firm business development.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and provide strategic recommendations.
- Deep understanding of the legal industry, particularly in corporate law practice areas such as M&A, private equity, finance, and capital markets, along with experience using research tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Eikon, FactSet, and Dealogic.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights in a clear, compelling manner.
- Solid grasp of financial analysis, M&A, and private equity transactions, including the ability to assess company performance and market trends.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated team player with intellectual curiosity, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, client-focused mindset.
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
