Job Purpose:
The Field Sampler is responsible for conducting routine pickups and processing of regulatory compliance samples for laboratory analysis. This includes accurately recording sample and chain of custody documentation and the safe and secure transportation of all samples to the laboratory. Candidates must be located in the job location area or close proximity.
This position will be based out of Albany, NY.
Pay: 20.00
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite field sampling pickups in accordance with all laws and regulations related to the legal cannabis market and laboratory operating procedures.
- Collect and forward weekly inventory requests to the laboratory team.
- Collect payment from clients.
- Interface effectively between customers and the laboratory team.
- Contact clients in conjunction with the Client Service Rep(s) to determine if their sampling needs to create a sampling plan (e.g., number of batches, requested analyses, sample information)
- Input orders with required sample information into METRC and the labs LIMS system as required.
- Follow detailed procedural requirements as outlined in the Kaycha Labs Sampling and Chain of Custody SOP.
- Safely drive throughout an assigned region, which may include multi-hour destination pickups.
- Collect detailed data in the field according to SOPs.
- Maintain current knowledge of our products and services.
- Consistently maintain customer confidentiality.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education Experience
- High School Diploma (or GED required.)
- A valid drivers license and clean driving record (with at least three years of driving experience).
- Exposure to the Cannabis industry is a plus.

The standard analytical laboratory environment is one in which potential health hazards do exist. Laboratory staff can be expected to work in areas where hazards associated are with, but not limited to, airborne pathogens. Biological materials, hazardous substances, and radioactive material exist and are handled. Appropriate training is provided regarding these hazards and staff are expected to adhere to all health and safety policies at all times, whether they are in writing or verbalized by a supervisor.
