Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities for our solids control solutions. This remote role requires a strategic thinker with strong industry connections, technical understanding, and a proven ability to close deals. The role reports to our office in Conroe, TX, and will involve frequent interaction with both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a business growth strategy targeting underground construction, tunneling, microtunneling, and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) markets.
• Identify and engage new business opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and establish Kayden Industries as a leader in solids control solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and proposal development to contract negotiation and project execution.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and executive teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of solids control technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape.
• Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to leadership to guide business decisions.
• Represent Kayden Industries at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand brand awareness and customer engagement.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by maintaining strong client relationships and providing ongoing support.
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the civil underground construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of solids control, slurry separation, or fluid management systems.
• Existing network of contacts within tunneling, HDD, microtunneling, or foundation drilling markets.
• Proven track record of sales success, deal closing, and revenue growth.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying aligned with company goals.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
