The Homemaker plays a vital role in providing essential support and care within a home setting, particularly for seniors or individuals requiring assistance. Duties

• Provide assistance with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
• Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying them to appointments or social activities.
• Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while providing care.
• Support clients with heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals when necessary to ensure comprehensive care for clients in long-term care or hospice settings.

Experience

• Previous experience in senior care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with basic caregiving techniques and an understanding of long-term care principles is beneficial.
• A background in nursing or healthcare can enhance the ability to provide effective support.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential for success in this role.
• Candidates should demonstrate reliability, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
