We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment at client sites.
Responsibilities:
- Self-starter who can work independently or collaborate with a small team
- Lead and manage crews on various projects, providing direction to ensure work is performed safely, delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with quality standards
- Responsible for maintaining productivity, quality control, and proactive procurement of materials and other activities related to successful completion of the project
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and any changes or challenges are effectively addressed
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
- Monitor project progress, track material usage, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
- Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective measures as needed
- Mentor and train electrical apprentices and team members
- Complete Time and Material “slips” on an application-based program
Qualifications:
- Eights (8) years in the commercial electrical field with a minimum of four (4) years in a service-related role
- Current Massachusetts Electrical Journeyman License
- Experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation duration
- Demonstrated ability to plan effectively, order and track materials and perform cost projections
- Understanding of National Electrical Code and installation methods
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high quality workmanship
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM software; ERP experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a company vehicle
