Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in the services listed in the Statement of Work (SOW).
Project Scope: The Los Angeles Unified School District seeks qualified proposers to provide an Innovative Strategies Task Force Services for the Information Technology Services. LAUSD intends to use the results of this solicitation process to award a work order to the responsive and responsible proposer. The proposed work order will require one (1) resource.
The objective is to engage a resource to convene and guide the Innovative Strategies Task Force, which will provide expertise and recommendations on technology and innovation strategies. The Task Force will enhance Los Angeles Unified’s approach, design, due diligence, and implementation of technology initiatives, ensuring responsible and effective use of technology within the District.

For the duration of the project, the proposed firm and/or resource are expected to bring their own cell phone, and laptop computer equipped with appropriate tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Professional, SharePoint, etc.
A performance review will be conducted by the District to ensure services are performed satisfactorily by the Contractor and its resource. Contractor will be notified by the District of their performance. If the review is unsatisfactory, the contractor will be required to submit a corrective action plan to address the deficiencies. If the performance is not improved, the contract will not be renewed, and the option years will not be exercised.

- Task Force Formation:
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of Task Force members, ensuring a diverse and balanced representation of independent technical experts and Los Angeles Unified personnel with expertise in technology, AI, education, cybersecurity, data privacy, and communications.
- Organize and facilitate the initial kickoff meeting to define the Task Force’s purpose, objectives, and framework and ongoing meetings needed to reach the deliverables.
- Framework Development:
- Collaborate with Task Force members to establish goals, deliverables, and a structured meeting schedule.
- Develop and distribute meeting agendas, ensuring alignment with the Task Force’s objectives.
- Facilitation:
- Lead and manage Task Force meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Guide the Task Force through decision-making processes and support consensus-building among members.
- Instructional Support:
- Provide instructional innovation strategies on key topics, such as technology trends, AI developments, cybersecurity, data privacy, and effective communication.
- Provide resource materials and facilitate expert sessions to enhance Task Force members' understanding of relevant areas.
- Support for K-12 Education:
- Ensure Task Force recommendations are aligned with the needs of K-12 education and address educational challenges.
- Implementation Support:
- Assist in developing implementation plans for Task Force recommendations and strategies.
- Support the integration of recommendations into District technology and innovation strategies and facilitate ongoing reviews.
- Reporting Structure:
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to be provided to a District respresentative at Los Angeles Unified.
- Provide coordination with District representatives and Task Force members to ensure alignment with objectives and timelines.
- Facilitator Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilitating high-level task forces or committees, particularly in technology, innovation, or education sectors.
- Strong background in technology, AI, and other innovative technologies.
- Experience in designing and delivering instructional content or training workshops.
- Knowledge of K-12 education systems and challenges, with experience integrating technology into educational settings.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Logistical Requirements:
- Access to appropriate tools and platforms for virtual or in-person meetings.
- Ability to develop and distribute instructional and meeting materials in various formats (e.g., presentations, handouts, digital resources).
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including educational professionals, students, and parents, to gather insights and feedback.
