Quality/Accuracy Technician

Quality Accuracy Engineer. Multiple openings. Check, record and adjust body weld tooling and part accuracy using FARO portable CMM equipment with Polyworks software. Interpret engineering drawings. Confirm dimensions and tolerances. Perform new tooling designs confirmation with CATIA. Gather part information from Digital Engineering systems. Check part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures. Support Sheetmetal Sub-assy and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events. Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, parts and part fitting. Analyze part and subassembly data and provide feedback to project leader(s). Teach robots and program modifications for quality purposes. Develop dimensional Polyworks programs for new projects launch. Perform level and dimensional checks of the new workstations. Work with engineered drawings interpretation, 3D space orientation, FARO arm, FARO laser tracker, FARO scanner, Polyworks software, CATIA software, dimensional reports, Microsoft office, calipers, go-no go gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, ultrasonic flaw detection equipment, magnetic particle testers. 40 hrs/wk. Must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Must have 1 year experience (or 1 year experience as Quality Control Engineer, Production Engineering Technician, Quality Inspector, or related occupation). Must have 1 year experience working with FARO arm, Faro laser tracker, interpreting engineering drawings, confirming dimensions and tolerances, calipers, go-no go gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, ultrasonic flaw detection equipment, magnetic particle testers. Must be willing to travel/relocate to unanticipated locations throughout the US on short notice for extended periods of time. Telecommuting permitted. Salary: $92,310 - $95,000/year.
