Job Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Georgetown, KY
Job Type: Hybrid -candidates are expected to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Travel: Client location MMI and TMMK may be required, typically over a weekend and no longer than a week and a half long (Future travel to Canada and Mexico may be necessary; candidates should be prepared with basic immigration documentation.)
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of production networking systems (Andon, PIF, and IoE) at North America Body Weld shops.
- Schedule, budget, and execute implementations at NAMCs, collaborating with multiple internal teams and external vendors to meet business needs.
- Program PLCs (Toyopuc and Omron) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Set up, configure, and provide long-term support for servers, including applications such as Kepware and Client Cimplicity.
- Collaborate with internal Innovation Teams to support various project initiatives.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and advancements in production networking systems.
- Author standards, policies, procedures, technical memos, and manuals to guide team operations.
- Work cross-functionally throughout the NAMCs and with external partners to solve problems and achieve goals.
- Showcase the team's efforts and accomplishments through presentations to peers and executive management.
Requirements
Candidate Should/Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Project management experience with a proven track record of successful project execution.
- Experience in deploying industrial network connected devices.
- Experience in application server setup and configuration.
- Experience in SQL Database operations.
- Toyopuc PLC programming experience.
- Experience with Kepware software.
- Experience with Client Cimplicity software.
- Relevant manufacturing work experience.
- Ability/willingness to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown periods to support modifications and installation projects.
- Ability to work overtime to achieve targets and complete projects on schedule.
Candidate Should/Must Have:
- Body Weld experience.
- Omron PLC programming experience.
- Knowledgeable in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, VB.Net, BCL, SQL).
- Knowledgeable with data analytics software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Experience with robotics and industrial controls.
Additional Information:
- Hands-on experience is essential as the role involves project management and site visits.
- Steel toe boots are required when in the plant.
- Interviews will be conducted via video call using the STAR format for approximately 50 minutes.
