Responsibilities:
- Build, integrate, and understand the complete assembly process for instruments in production.
- Assemble multiple product lines and integrate sub-assemblies into instruments.
- Maintain device history records, including reporting serial numbers and tools.
- Conduct basic component testing for pre-assemblies and modules.
- Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements.
- Provide expertise in reading and understanding technical drawings, work instructions, and standards.
- Train associates on mechanical and basic testing activities.
- Execute basic tests, analyze results, and determine next steps.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs, including routine and moderately complex tasks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, following GMP and safety policies.
- Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams.
- Perform material handling and other production tasks as required.
- May require overtime to meet business demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED with 4 years of manufacturing experience or AA technical degree with 1 year of experience.
- Experience in a regulated environment is required.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to improve performance and processes.
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) and participation in improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Blitzes).
- Proficiency in using mechanical tools (e.g., torque drivers, gauges) and reading technical drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time standards.
- Experience with PCs and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a repetitive environment and stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
