- Current Security CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification
Primary Responsibilities
The Voice/Data Network Engineer will:
- Perform engineering for new circuit installations, modifications, and de-activations.
- Provide technical and operational support to end-user services, network expansions, and modernization of telecommunications backbone systems.
- Provide problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication circuits maintained by the work center to include Commercial and GFE owned networks.
- Provide outage and restoration information as required to include restore times.
- Ensure the availability of the circuits in coordination with others work centers as required.
- Perform status updates and circuit monitoring as required
- Active DOD Secret Clearance
- Minimum/General Experience: 2 or more years of relevant experience.
- Minimum Education: A bachelor's degree and current Security ce certification
- Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:
- A master's degree and and a current Security ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification
- No degree with 6 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task and a current Security ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification
