We are seeking an Analyst to join our Energy Infrastructure Team in our Houston office. The Analyst will work with our finance and treasury group. We are a lean team and as such the ideal candidate for this role is someone who can be leveraged in all aspects of our business. We are seeking a candidate who is a self-starter and who possesses a strong work ethic. The role requires someone with effective quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
The role will involve all aspects of administering our operations including accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, investor relations and finance. Primary responsibilities will include monitoring fund net asset value calculations, assisting controllers with internal and external financial reporting, preparation of board reporting, assisting with ad-hoc projects and financial analysis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain net asset value calculations
- Monthly preparation of factsheets
- Assist in quarter end close/financial reporting – prepare/assist in preparation of quarter end analysis/checks, financial reporting files for public funds
- Assist controllers with various financial reporting and analysis
- Assist in preparation of tax returns
- Coordination of press releases
- Treasury operations – general assistance and backup of treasury operations including borrowing and repayment notices, cash forecasting, FX instructions, monitoring leverage covenants, assisting with settlement issues, private financings, etc.
- Board reporting – prepare/assist in preparation of quarterly Board materials
- Assist in preparation of marketing materials
- Assist in retrieving reports from fund administrator portals
- Assist with vendor contracts and renewal processes
- Assist and coordinate website updates
- Assist in preparation for internal and external meetings
- Assist with annual proxy/shareholder meeting
- Other ad-hoc projects
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar
- Seeking candidates with 1 – 4 years of relevant work experience (minimum of 1-year)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent quantitative/analytical and verbal/written communication skills
- Have a genuine desire to excel in the execution of their work and express a passion for their role
