Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership – familiarizing yourself with the service department & procedures
- Testing automotive components and systems. You will learn how to use diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
- Executing automotive repairs to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Good reading and computer skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical degree a plus
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, with good work ethic
- Basic automotive hand tools
