Job Title: Forming Feeder (Brake Pad Manufacturing)

Reports To: Production Manager
MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Forming Feeder is responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the forming process in brake pad manufacturing. This role focuses on the feeding of raw materials into machines to maintain smooth production flow and high-quality brake pads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the complete brake pad manufacturing process, particularly the forming line, to ensure efficient operation.
- Collaborate with the operator to ensure smooth functioning of the forming production process, contributing to teamwork and production goals.
- Ensure that all necessary materials and supplies are available for uninterrupted production flow.
- Move brake pads (BP) from the coating line to the correct location for proper feeding into the forming machines.
- Identify and verify the correct LOT number for each batch of brake pads to ensure accurate tracking and quality control.
- Accurately load raw materials into the forming machines, checking materials via barcode scanning to ensure correct materials are used.
- Troubleshoot any issues with the BP arrangement machine, reporting recurring problems to the operator.
- Regularly monitor the alarm systems for equipment such as robots, BP arrangement machines, presses, and auto-weighing machines, and report any issues to the operator.
- Periodically clean tools and dies in collaboration with the operator, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and checklists to maintain consistent quality and productivity.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Production Manager to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools, equipment, and machinery used in brake pad production.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing plant environment.
- High school diploma or an equivalent educational background.
- Strong teamwork and work ethic, ensuring collaboration with the team and meeting production goals.
- Ability to write reports accurately and legibly.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs in the plant environment, as required for material handling and production tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
