Job Title: Grinding Line Operator 1 (OP1)

Pay Rate: Starting at $13.00/hour
MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Grinding Line Operator 1 (OP1) is a versatile production role that will be trained in multiple areas including grinding, deburring, and assembly within the brake pad manufacturing process. This position plays a key part in maintaining a smooth, efficient production line by ensuring all equipment is operational, assisting in quality checks, and supporting various production tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and operate grinding machines and related equipment efficiently to produce high-quality brake pads.
- Check and adjust machine settings, tools, and equipment before production to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with deburring and assembly tasks, ensuring components meet production standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals, including overseeing and training other workers as needed.
- Monitor production processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and report recurring problems to the Production Manager.
- Inspect parts for quality, separate defective ones, and ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain production records, including downtime, issues, and troubleshooting logs.
- Clean machines, tools, and dies regularly to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols during all production tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager to support the production process.
Prerequisites:
- 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive or brake pad industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and maintain good attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain production records accurately.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
