Bring your knowledge and expertise as our next Water/Wastewater Inspector.

We are looking for a Civil Inspector with a Water/Wastewater in the greater Seattle-Bellevue-Everett areas.

  • Develops working relationships with agency staff and stakeholders.

  • Uses resourcefulness by securing and deploying project resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Instills trust by gaining the confidence of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
  • Familiar with American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards is required.
  • Familiar with Washington State Department of Health (DOH) standards is required.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittal responses, and progress payments.
  • Familiar with AASHTO, FHWA, other applicable standards for work being performed and other governing agencies construction administration, engineering, environmental methods, standards, and policies.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Performs daily observation of contractor activities and completes Inspectors Daily Reports.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local agency construction administration policies.
  • Fosters a safety culture on the project site.
  • Inspects, monitors, and oversees construction field work tasks and activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans and specifications. Reads, interprets, and confirms compliance with applicable contract documents.
  • Performs or oversees on-site material testing. Reviews plans and specifications to determine material requirements (quantities and qualities). Responsible for the tracking of item quantities and preparing pay estimates and ensures that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
  • Initiates field changes to drawings and specifications and identifies discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
  • Reviews contractors daily construction reports for accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency.
  • Consults on work progress and construction problems, proactively recommends solutions, assists in the resolution of issues, and acts as a liaison with the engineer of record.
