LOCATION: Baraga, Pines Convenient Center
WAGE: $12.50/hr
STATUS: Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for general maintenance and repairs for the KBIC Convenience Stores. Some travel between businesses may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1.High School Diploma, GED or Certificate of Completion is required.
2.Must be at least 21 years of age.
3.Must possess a valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License, have a good driving record, and beable to operate fleet vehicles ** Must sign the KBIC Driving Record Check Form.
4.Requires basic knowledge of general repairs and daily maintenance techniques. Previous maintenancework experience is preferred.
5.Must know how to safely operate and use small equipment and power tools. Prior experience operating aforklift and scissor lift is preferred.
6.Excellent customer/employee relation skills are required. Must be able to deal with the generalpublic and fellow employees with tact, courtesy, respect, objectivity and mature judgment.
7.Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
8.Must obtain Class C UST Operator certification within one month of hire. (training materials will beprovided by supervisor)
9.Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training as needed.
10.Must be willing to work nights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs general maintenance duties, including painting and light carpentry work.
• Performs light maintenance on fuel pumps, including: changing filters, hoses, nozzles,breakaways, etc.
• Performs necessary outdoor repairs and maintenance for theConvenience Stores (including snow shoveling, lawn care, garbagepickup, canopy cleanup, roof clean up, etc.)
• Diagnoses and repairs small appliances and mechanical systems.
• Unloads and stocks merchandise.
• Transports products to and from other KBIC C-Stores.
• Performs various cleaning duties.
• Notifies supervisor of need for major repairs to structures and equipment.
• Follows work orders and documents all work completed.
• Performs all other job related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.Must be physically mobile and have the ability to stand for long periods of time,walk continuously and sit, bend/stoop, climb ladders, and carry and lift up to seventy(70)pounds unassisted, work on knees for extended periods of time.
2.Must be able to tolerate varying levels of noise, dust and/or smoke.
3.Employee must pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
