KBKG Tax Consulting Firm is seeking Senior Engineer to join our Green Building Tax Incentives team in Houston, TX. This is an engineering position situated within a growing tax incentives firm. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing energy calculations, conducting inspections and certifications required for 179D tax incentive studies. The position will involve travel approximately 50% of the year.
Salary 115K- 125K base depends on experience.
Responsibilities include :
- Inspections & Compliance : Conduct building inspections of commercial and multifamily buildings to assess energy efficiency for 179D tax deduction eligibility.
- Data Analysis & Certification : Collect and analyze building system data and information to accurately assess energy efficiency. Sign and Certify calculations.
- Client Guidance : Provide expert consultation to clients, building owners, and peers on all aspects of 179D tax incentive.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and tax professionals, for an integrated approach to 179D tax incentives.
- Travel - Travel may be required, 30-50% travel with travel up to 75% for short periods. All travel is domestic.
- Communicate and resolve questions with clients while building lasting relationships.
- Work closely to provide general oversight and guidance with our team of energy modelers.
