KBR is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team in Colorado Springs,CO.
The Technical Writer will support the Defensive Cyber Operations - Space (DCO-S) team and should have experience with acquisition requirements/business ops background to manage our Software Acquisition Pathway documentation requirements to create templates from source material, implementing feedback and CRM input for document updates, routing through AO/signing authorities, and coordinating with working group members for document progression.
This role will research, write, edit and proofread technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specifications. The documents will be "living" documents and will need to be updated regularly to ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style. Assists in establishing style guidelines
and standards for texts and illustrations. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Researches possible solutions using standard procedures.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Required:
- Must have at least 5 years’ demonstrated experience in technical writing
- Bachelors Degree in an applicable technical field or equivalent experience and excellent written communication skills, and copy editing experience
- Strong business acumen; proactively identify and resolve problems efficiently
- Must be able to organize, direct and coordinate the planning and production of all activities associated to your technical writing role
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral communication skills
- TS with SCI eligibility required
- Knowledge of how to take developmental cyber security systems and transition them to operational systems, USSF/SSC Acquisition processes.
