Senior Electrical Engineer
KBR is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) contract at NAS Patuxent River, MD.
This position involves working on a high-operational-tempo team to develop innovative technologies that maintain air and sea superiority in support of the E3 Aircraft Division.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Mission Systems Team at the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), focusing on E3 requirements for the F-35 Air System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by KBR.
- Apply E3 engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
- Prioritize and attend preliminary, critical, and other design reviews to ensure E3 requirements are properly defined and implemented.
- Contribute to reviews and preparation of engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Support functions such as system integration, qualification testing, acquisition, and resource management.
- Perform administrative tasks like drafting presentations, answering data calls, and providing other applicable E3 administrative support as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 25 years experience in E3 for military aircraft design, development, test, evaluations, and reporting, in accordance with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464.
- Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-516 Section 13.
- A Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship are mandatory.
- A BS degree in Engineering or relevant military experience is essential.
Compensation Package:
$165,000 - $206,000 per year. The offered salary will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
