Senior SOLARIS Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
- Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
- Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements.
- Evaluates performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Work Environment:
Location: Annapolis Junction MD
Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% Travel
Working Hours: Standard 40 hour per week
Qualifications:
- Top Secret with SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or higher with 12 years of experience; additional 4 years in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 10 years of Unix operating system experience
- Minimum of 8 years Linux operating system experience including system internals; file system structures, design, and performance tuning at an enterprise level;
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) credentials as an Oracle Solaris System Administrator
Current ITIL Foundations certification
