Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in anesthesiology and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, ensuring appropriate dosages and monitoring vital signs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to anesthesia administration, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Manage airway during procedures, utilizing advanced techniques for airway management as necessary.
- Monitor patients' vital signs continuously during surgery and adjust anesthesia levels as required.
- Provide pain management solutions pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care in the electronic health record system (Epic).
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices and participate in ongoing education and training.
Experience
- Current certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist with a valid state license.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to anesthesiology practices.
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with vital signs monitoring systems.
- Previous experience in a surgical or clinical setting is advantageous.
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8-hour day shifts
- No call or weekend shifts
- Daily Volume: 2-4 cases
- Cases: Orthopedic, endoscopic, general surgery, gastroenterology, and podiatry
- Will practice independently
- Must be board-certified
- Paid travel & expenses
