Duration: 12 months
Job Description:
- Performs a wide range of analytical tasks related to the design,construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical power distribution facilities.
- Projects include design of distribution facilities (serving residential, commercial and small industrial customers), relocation of existing distribution facilities,distribution system improvements such as minor expansions, conversions,and rebuilds.
Level of Responsibility:

- Resolves questions and problems within established standards and guidelines
- Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job
Essential Functions:
- Create work orders, job sketches, material lists, cost estimates,and updates GIS system for new jobs, property damage, and correction oferrors to facilities utilizing field information and data furnished byothers.
- Apply Engineering Guides, Construction Standards, National ElectricSafety Code, NBIC and ASME.
- Provide support for emergency restoration efforts.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding informationneeded for projects.
Education/Work Experience:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Math, Physics or other related technical degree
- Completion of 60 hours equivalent college course work toward a technical degree.
- 3 years DEATS Technician level work.
- Completion of 6 hours of Algebra/Trigonometry/Calculus and 6 hours of Electrical/Electronics/Physics college course work.
- Valid State Driver’s License.

- Computer skills with ability to use application software (e.g., ArcFM Designer, SAP and MS Office Suite).

- Ability to understand electrical drawings and site plans (e.g., commercial & industrial customers, highway drawings).
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Office environment requiring extensive computer work
- Required to work overtime
- Required to be available for callouts and to respond to storm damage during non-standard hours, weekends, and holidays
- Occasional travel required including overnight
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
