Title: Sensory Lab Technician

Location: Springdale , AR 72762

Duration: 3 Months

Job Description:

• Position is listed for 12 months.
• Please note Client requires positions to be extended every 90 days which is why the Estimated End Date is listed at 4/19.
• At that time it will be extended by the manager.
• This is 100% on site.
• The sensory position will gain hands on experience in Sensory Science by assisting the sensory lab specialists in the design, organization, and execution of sensory tests that support various facets of the Client enterprise.
• This will include test execution, data collection, data analysis, report writing, and support for product cuttings. Other kitchen responsibilities include kitchen inventory, cleaning protocols, help with shipping, shopping for materials, and other duties as needed.
• Throughout the program the employee may receive special projects designed to help them stretch their knowledge and expose them to new aspects of the field of sensory.

Education:

• Current student or Bachelor's in the following majors encouraged to apply: Food Science, Meat Science, Sensory Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Culinary, Psychology, and Statistics majors are preferred.

Experience:

• Previous lab work experience in any field. Sensory lab experience a plus.

Computer Skills:

• Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel, familiarity with Word and Power point.

Communication Skills:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Special Skills:

• Ability to multitask; motivated self-starter. SERV safe certification a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
