This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of cash receipts, EFT payments, and journal entries while resolving unapplied payments. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience with mid to large accounting ERP systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced financial environment. Prior accounts receivable, billing or Cash Applications experience is preferred. This position is also open to recent accounting, business graduates with light accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities For The Cash Applications Specialist
- Accurately record and apply cash receipts, including lockbox deposits, branch payments, and wire transfers.
- Process EFT transactions and ensure timely posting of journal entries and adjustments.
- Review daily bank reports to verify the accuracy of electronic receipts.
- Investigate and resolve unapplied receipts and discrepancies.
- Process remote deposits and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support special projects and assist with treasury and banking-related tasks as needed.
- Minimum Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, or cash applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
