Manager of Technical Accounting & External Reporting

A large, global, Life Sciences company is seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting and External Reporting to join their team. This position will report to the Senior Director of Accounting and will lead all aspects of Technical Accounting and External Reporting for the company.

The role will pay a competitive base salary up to $150k, plus bonus and offers great company benefits. The role will be onsite at their office (North of Boston/Billerica area) 4 days a week, with family-friendly flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and prepare the company’s external reporting filings, earnings releases and XBRL tagging.
• Manages and maintains proper compliance with all technical accounting areas including M&A, Consolidations, goodwill, debt, stock-based compensation and others.
• Partner internally regarding SOX404 compliance, controls and documentation.
• Cross functional business partner to all global business unites, finance, legal and accounting groups
• Supporting M&A due diligence as it relates to future acquisitions
• Draft Financial statements, disclosures, and other accounting memos related to technical areas.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field, CPA preferred
• 5 years of related accounting experience, preferably either public accounting or public private mix of experience.
• Strong understanding of SEC reporting, Technical Accounting and SOX controls environment
• Large company experience preferred
• Strong Senior Accountants looking to advance are encouraged to apply.
