A global, industry leading services company has an opening for a Manager Technical Accounting to join their team in Woburn, MA. The Manager Technical Accounting will report to the Director of Accounting & have the primary responsibility of overseeing a team in researching and analyzing the financial reporting impacts of new and revised commercial agreements, drafting position papers, and maintaining accounting policy documentation for the tower and managed networks businesses. The Manager Technical Accounting will also get involved with collaborating across functions to ensure Managed Networks business leaders have the insights needed to make informed decisions.

Job Description
- Oversee sub-ledger support functions, including lease abstraction, lease administration, billing, credit collections, and accounts payable, ensuring they align with the operational requirements of the business
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of customer and vendor agreements, designing and implementing compliant solutions within the ERP system that adhere to accounting standards and internal policies
- Manage general accounting processes to meet business needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Strengthen the control environment over business operations and ensure effective implementation of compliance measures, including those under relevant regulatory frameworks
- Integrate historical and current financial data into forecasting and budgeting processes, supporting administrative expense management efforts
- Conduct and oversee analyses for key areas such as asset retirement obligations, impairments, reserves, intercompany projects, and other business-critical areas
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, sales, and shared services, fostering collaboration across departments
- Lead a team of accountants, managing recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development while fostering a culture of teamwork to achieve organizational goals
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving business requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, with advanced degrees in accounting or business administration preferred
- CPA certification preferred, with at least 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in public accounting
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, with occasional travel of up to 10% to support position responsibilities
- Demonstrated expertise in organization, planning, and project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively for self and team to meet objectives
- Proven ability to collaborate with various functional groups and employee levels to achieve professional and organizational goals
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on driving and motivating teams to deliver results
