Primary Responsibilities For The Staff Accountant Position
- Oversee and maintain accurate records within the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly documented and reconciled.
- Manage the full cycle of both vendor payables and customer receivables, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
- Compile and deliver periodic financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries, to support key decision-making processes.
- Contribute to the creation of budgets and financial projections, while analyzing variances between actual results and forecasts to help guide future planning.
- Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts and support activities related to monitoring and optimizing cash flow.
- Ensure financial operations comply with established accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with operational teams and leadership to provide financial analysis and insights that support business initiatives and strategic goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred or relevant general ledger accounting experience
- 4 years of experience in an general ledger focus accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, or comparable accounting platforms.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial tools.
