The Principal Data Architect & Strategy Leader is responsible for developing and executing an enterprise-wide data and transformation strategy, aligning data and AI initiatives with organizational priorities, and providing insights to enhance decision-making with cutting-edge technologies. This role will support the adoption of AI-powered technologies, to increase speed to value and ensuring scalable and efficient architectures that support machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation.
This is a hybrid role (onsite 3 days per week), and you must currently reside in Green Bay, WI; Wichita, KS; or Atlanta, GA

This role will be part of our Platform team. The Platform is the core foundation that all of products are built. Software, Cloud, and Data architects are part of one team that develop the strategy and guidelines for all of core capabilities and products.

What You Will Do
- Partner with business leadership to align data initiatives with organizational priorities, ensuring strategic and operational alignment
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures leveraging cloud-native technologies. Ensure our architectures are “AI-Ready”
- Lead the development of data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to standardize and unify data assets across the enterprise
- Architect and oversee the integration of modern data solutions with legacy systems
- Guide and lead teams in the scalable and reliable implementation of technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Kubernetes, Kafka, and AWS to create flexible and future-ready data environments
- Stay current with industry advancements and emerging technologies and champion best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design efficient data pipelines and workflows that support real-time and batch processing
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and emerging leaders in the D&A space
- Experience translating business strategy by creating roadmaps and the data strategy while collaborating with cross functional teams.
- Experience in the integration of cross-corporate processes, and information strategies, and/or designing strategic metrics and scorecards.
- Experience in Information Technology systems and ability to understand how data interacts with the enterprise digital foundation.
- Experience in data lake and data warehouse technologies
- Experience applying best practices within the AWS cloud platform
- Experience in data modeling, data integration, and data governance concepts and best practices.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience in machine learning model development, training, and lifecycle management
- Experience using data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Experience using AI technologies to accelerate data product and pipeline development
- Experience with cloud-native data technologies, such as Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices, containers, and managed data services.
- Experience with data security, privacy, and compliance requirements
- Experience working within large organizations, and the ability to develop strong relationships required.
- Experience with business intelligence and data analytics
